Academic Achievers' Dinner

Sixteen  Tennessee Alpha chapter members achieved a 3.50 or higher GPA for the Spring 2017 semester. These men comprise nearly a third of the total returning members for Fall. Because they did so well they received a steak dinner.

Sunday October 15 the Tennessee Alpha Educational Foundation treated the scholars to dinner at the Copper Cellar Restaurant on the Cumberland “strip”.

The TN Alpha Scholarship Foundation encourages strong academic achievement among our undergraduate brothers to improve the overall undergraduate GPA. This year, the Foundation board voted to focus on overall scholarship and try a new (for us) approach. They unanimously endorsed an Academic Achievers Dinner for those members who have a 3.5 or higher GPA the prior semester. This fall, eleven of the sixteen undergraduate members joined Mark Sparkman ’92 (AVC President) and Bryce Giesler ’78 (Chapter Counselor) for a steak dinner in a private room at the Copper Cellar on The Strip.

The event was a huge success and will continue next semester, so hit the books guys!
