It’s official! The long awaited chapter renovation at the UT SigEp house is complete. Please mark your calendars and join us for grand opening and barbecue tailgate set for September 9th & 10th.We will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6pm on Friday, followed up by a BBQ lunch ($10 per person) on Saturday before the UT vs. Cincinnati football game.
Magnificent! At long last we have the completely transformed and renovated Sig Ep Fraternity House at the University of Tennessee. I’ll have to admit that I was one of the skeptics who doubted that it would be finished by the time the school year and rush started this fall. I was wrong! And I’m very happy to say that I was wrong, but all the team of alumni who spent many hours on this effort cannot be thanked enough now for their outstanding and unselfish efforts to monitor and oversee this major construction effort. Let’s have their
pictures and a write up in a SPieL for all the alumni to see so we can personally thank them when we see them again.
WOW! The inside of the house looks like the brand-new place that it is. The back yard and decks are outstanding, and it’s amazing what you were able to accomplish with the dated facade. I trust this puts Sig Ep back at the top of the list of Alpha League houses. It’s a fitting tribute to those brothers who originally chose our lot, built its predecessor, and laid the groundwork for the unparalleled success of Tennessee Alpha since.
To the actives and alumni who accomplished this–and lived through the construction–congratulations on a job very well done. The rest of us are in your debt.
