As a quick reminder, the official Grand Opening of the newly renovated SigEp House is slated for this evening. We will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6pm tonight – dress is business casual and should last for about an hour. The BBQ lunch ($10 per person) will be on Saturday before the UT vs. Cincinnati football game. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
It is great to see the progress that has been made over the years. The new House looks great; a tremenduous change, and a huge step up from my Sig Ep home on 1533 Laurel, where I resided for several years. I Hold and treasure some great memories of those years. I am truly sorry I cannot be with you all to enjoy this memorable and historic event. I am with you in spirit and congratulate all who have worked so hard to make the dream come true.

I echo Virg Huston’s response, and I also wish I could be there. The Tennessee Alpha Sig Ep’s sure have come a long way. But the chapter is going even higher, so never stop reaching for that next goal. I was the Comptroller for the chapter at 1533 Laurel Avenue in 1954-55, and I treasure those years in the 1950’s as some of the most wonderful in my life’s experience. Hat’s off to all the active chapter members who helped plan this event, and to the alumni who have contributed of their time and talent to achieve this memorable milestone.
