Tennessee Alpha will celebrate its 100 year anniversary April 11-13th, 2013. The weekend will commence with the annual Hall of Fame dinner on Thursday night, April 11th (invitations will be mailed to all Hall of Famers). The golf tournament, along with other activities will be on Friday, April 12th followed by the Renaissance of Brotherhood (honorary initiation) on Friday evening. There will be a special activity for the ladies planned on Friday as well.
The traditional and popular Saturday morning Brunch will be held the morning of the 13th with the Founder’s Day Dinner on Saturday night. This year’s dinner will feature a special video presentation of Tennessee Alpha’s founding and first 100 years as well as a special speaker and a few other surprises.
Following the program on Saturday night, Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts will perform for all Sig Eps and guests at the Convention Center. Alumni from the 1960’s through 2000’s will remember the band from college days. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to see the legends one more time.

But the writer appears to have thought the band would hang it up when Doug passed away, far too young, in 2002 at the age of 66.
Thank goodness Doug’s son has carried on the tradition. I can’t wait…it’s going to be a blast seeing those guys again.
